What We Believe

  1. We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine and Christian living.   (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:29)

  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah, sent by God to save the world from their sins. (Matthew 3:17, 16:16; John 3:16, 14:16; Acts 4:10-12)

  4. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man.  He died on the cross for our sins.  He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.  (Matthew 1:18-25, 27:45-54; Mark 16:1-20)

  5. We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by God into the world after Jesus resurrected into Heaven.  The Holy Spirit is here to give power, guidance and comfort.  (Acts 1:1-5, 2:1-4)

  6. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and was therefore lost.  (Genesis 1:26-31, 3)

  7. We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  (Romans 10:8-15; Titus 2:11, 3:5-7)

  8. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic and passionate life and service for Him while awaiting His return.  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13)

  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved in heaven and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.  (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 19:20)

  10. We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord’s Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross.  These are ordinances to be observed by the church as instructed in the Bible.  They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man’s salvation.  (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

  11. We believe in the power of prayer; prayer for deliverance, prayer for healing, prayer for sanctification, prayer over any area of life and God will hear that prayer and He will answer.  (John 14:13-14, 15:7; Philippians 4:6-7;  James 4:16)

  12. We believe in miracles and that they are an act of God that is still happening in the current age of the church.  (Matthew 17:20; Mark 16:17-18; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:4-10)

  13. We believe in the evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and believe that this practice is for the betterment of the church.  (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-10)
